Scott Glenn Breaks Down His Most Iconic Characters | GQ

Ummæli

  • I love Urban Cowboy 🤠😍✔️❤️

  • He was in two of my most favorite movies; Training Day and Silence Of The Lambs

  • - should of covered backdraft

  • He was the hottest Jack Crawford ever.

  • Not mentioned - John Frankenheimer´s "The Challenge"

  • Great to hear about his time on The Leftovers. He nailed that role so hard

  • My gran has the same hairstyle, as do all the old women she goes to bingo with.

  • For some reason, I felt like The Silence of the Lambs was the only movie Scott played a good guy and didn't die at the end of the movie. lol Glad I was wrong and I have to see more of his stuff. What a great working character actor.

  • No mention of The Challenge or Sucker Punch?

  • Robben Scott is looking for Glenn

  • I went right to Urban Cowboy

  • He never talked about The Bourne Ultimatum who plays CIA director Ezra Kramer, nor The Virgin Suicides, who plays Father Moody.

  • The Keep

  • Goodness he's SOOOO annoying with the stories smh! I can't even make it thru the whole thing... respect to the og but I'm OUT! ✌🏾

  • Silverado is still great!

  • I thought that he was also really good in the second (I think the second.) Women And Men movie. He did a segment in it. It was an HBO original movie .

  • Yaaaay! I just found this. I love Scott Glenn. He doesn’t get the credit that he deserves.

  • "I don't remember picking up the tape recorder." As an actor, that's when you know you've done something special.

  • I wanted to ring your neck in urban cowboy and salute you in red October

  • I always thought his first movie was 1972 gargoyles ! ! ! great movie 👍😄😄😄

  • Training Day.

  • “ let him run his race”. Secretariat.

  • So glad to see Scott’s face again. Every acting job he worked, was always a convincing role. Such a great actor. I miss seeing him on T.V.. Thank you Scott for entertaining us for decades. All the best to you and yours. -Stephen, Ohio 🇺🇸

  • Great vlog!!

  • You forgot to mention Training Day. You were excellent in that one.

  • Buffalo Soldiers (2001) with Scott Glenn, Joaquin Pheonix, Ed Harris, and Anna Paquin. Glenn's awesome in this totally underrated film.

  • His hair is throwing me off a little

  • Glenn is a very underrated actor.

  • Scott I share your birthday but am 20 years younger. Thanks. Love your acting.

  • He played a despicable villain in "Urban Cowboy" and did a great job cause I was young and I was convinced he was truly a bad guy!

  • I hope Scott Glenn lives forever.

  • What is with that hair???

  • The leftovers is one of the best TV shows of all time, he's such an incredible part of that show

  • Great Actor

  • 81 years old and the man is more lucid then I am at 24, with a better hairline, and still some brown hair in their. I sincerely hope I age as well as you and I know it’s not gonna happen

  • If anyone should write a biography...

  • Backdraft? Vertical Limit?

  • Too bad he didn't talk about Sucker Punch, which is ny favorite movie of all time.

  • Wow ! no Red October .

  • That Ajax is a beautiful horse.

  • Love this guy and because of him I refuse to watch the new version of the right stuff. BTW I know he's a badass.

  • What about The Challenge?

  • Gargoyles! A 1973 "made for TV" movie which freaked a 6yr. old boy out. Scott Glenn was in this movie

  • He seems very cool in real life

  • Why didn't they ask him about Backdraft or Hunt for Red October? Both, I thought were great roles that Scott Glenn played.

  • You can tell that Scott went to GQ and asked if he could submit this video to this series. The audio is homemade. Good for him and everything...if any other actors want to contact GQ, my suggestion is to make sure the audio sounds professional. This one, IMO, makes it obvious Scott requested to be a part of this series.

  • I can listen to his storytelling all day.

  • great stories

  • Would've loved to hear him talk about Sucker Punch. He had such a fun role in that, and behind the scenes with so much talent must've been interesting.

  • He ain’t talk about Jason Bourne???

  • "So I hung out with them for about a day, and then I got rid of them because I wanted to go do a movie and not go to jail." Lol!

  • What an awesome storyteller

  • I was so surprised to see how old he has become , I guess i have never seen him like this , just in the movies and I forgot just how old these movies are.

  • Urban Cowboy. Enough said.

  • Hows no one talking about him as Stick in DAREDEVIL?

  • Backdraft? Really?

  • no backdraft...really....

  • Scott Glenn. Wait. He not older. Me not older. Dang.

  • I love you

  • Classic name dropper, reminds me of Peter Weller.

  • Protect this man at all costs.

  • Wow !! What a great story. He is good actor.

  • Miiii name is Jose Hemanez. Hey Scott, there some guys down her that want to make you a astronaut. Oooh I hope noooot.

  • * Deep RESPECT *

  • He didn’t talk about training day

  • The original Clay Morrow. That character would have taken on a whole new feel.

  • Man on Fire is one of my favorite Scott Glenn movies

  • Wes Hightower

  • No mention of 1972's Gargoyles!? ;-)

  • He was the personification of evil in Urban Cowboy.

  • I think Scott Glen has been successful is that he is a good person

  • What a wonderful story teller. Really gets into it.

  • My favorite, Urban Cowboy.
